For M0 the only way to backup and restore is if it is done with tools like mongodump /mongorestore or via an export with mongoexport/mongoimport If no backup has been taken then there will be no way to recover.
M2 and M5 provide a daily snapshot for a low cost. The dedicated tiers M10+ can provide continuous backup.
