Hubert Nguyen is a Sr. Developer Advocate at MongoDB. Previously, he was the co-founder and CTO of Ubergizmo, a popular US consumer technology media. Earlier, he was the Manager of Developer Education at NVIDIA where he edited "GPU Gems 3", a best-selling 3D programming book. Hubert was also part of the NVIDIA Demo Team, which was tasked with graphics rendering R&D. He joined NVIDIA from 3DFX Interactive, the creators of Voodoo graphics, the first consumer GPU. Hubert started his career as a 3D-Engine programmer at Cryo Interactive, the company behind the first Dune video game.
I'm a Solutions Architect with a knack for architecting cloud-native solutions. In MongoDB, I work closely with customers to ensure their success in leveraging MongoDB Atlas for their modern applications. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge through blog posts and open-source contributions.
Throughout my tenure as a software engineer, technical lead, and engineering manager, I have navigated through public and private sectors, and fast-paced startups. Along this journey, I have delved into a broad spectrum of technologies from mobile and web, to data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automations. As a developer advocate at MongoDB, I would like to help fellow engineers make better design decisions with not just theoretical knowledge, but also a pragmatic mindset. On any typical day, you might catch me lost in thoughts with a cup of coffee in my hands.
