Apply a Suggested Chart

Overview

Atlas Charts displays up to six prebuilt charts based on the data source that you selected. You can use any one of the suggested charts when you create a new chart or when you modify an existing chart. After applying a suggested chart, you can make changes to the chart type and add or remove fields if you wish to customize the prebuilt chart.

Procedure

Log in to Atlas Charts and navigate to your dashboard.

Click one of the following buttons to apply a suggested chart.

  • Add Chart to create a new chart based on a suggested chart.

  • Edit button for the chart you wish to replace with a suggested chart.

View suggested charts.

If you are creating a new chart, MongoDB suggests prebuilt charts in the page. If you wish to replace the current chart with a different prebuilt chart, click the Suggestions button next to the ellipses (...) to view all suggested prebuilt charts for the data source.

Apply a suggested chart.

Click the Apply button associated with a suggested chart to replace the current chart with the suggested prebuilt chart.

After applying a suggested chart, you can make changes to the chart type and add or remove fields if you wish to customize the prebuilt chart.
