Note

Groups and projects are synonymous terms. Your {PROJECT-ID} is the same as your project id. For existing groups, your group/project id remains the same. This page uses the more familiar term group when referring to descriptions. The endpoint remains as stated in the document.

You can always retrieve your own user account. Otherwise, you must be a global user or you must have the Project User Admin role in at least one project that is common between you and the user you are retrieving.

You cannot use this endpoint to return information on an API Key. Request the Get One API Key endpoint to get this information.

GET /users/byName/{USER-NAME}

Some API clients cannot access the HTTP response headers or status code. To remediate this, set envelope=true in the query.

This endpoint doesn't use HTTP request body parameters.

Mobile number of the Ops Manager user.

Role assignments.
roles.groupId

Unique identifier for the project in which the user has the specified role.

For the "global" roles (those whose name starts with GLOBAL_) there is no groupId since these roles are not tied to a project.
