A Libbson fornece rotinas para conversão de e para o formato JSON. Em particular, ele suporta o formato MongoDB Extended JSON .

Muitas vezes, há momentos em que você pode querer converter um documento BSON para JSON. É conveniente para depuração, bem como para um formato de intercâmbio. Para ajudar com isso, o Libbson contém as funções bson_as_canonical_extended_json e bson_as_relaxed_extended_json. O formato canônico preserva informações do tipo BSON para valores que podem ter representações ambíguas em JSON (por exemplo tipos numéricos).

O formato relaxado prefere primitivos JSON para valores numéricos e pode ser usado se a fidelidade do tipo não for necessária.

A conversão de volta de JSON também é útil e comum o suficiente para adicionarmos bson_init_from_json e bson_new_from_json.

O exemplo a seguir cria um novo bson_t da string JSON {"a":1}.

A Libbson fornece bson_json_reader_t para permitir a análise de uma sequência de documentos JSON em BSON. A interface é semelhante a bson_reader_t mas espera que a entrada esteja no formato JSON estendido do MongoDB .
