Get One Backup Configuration from One Project¶
On this page
Note

is the
same as your project id. For existing groups, your group/project id
remains the same. This page uses the more familiar term group when
referring to descriptions. The endpoint remains as stated in the

PROJECT-ID | string | Required | Unique 24-hexadecimal digit string that identifies the project that holds the cluster with the backup configuration you want to find. |
CLUSTER-ID | string | Required | Unique 24-hexadecimal digit string that identifies the cluster whose backup configuration you want to find. |
Request Query Parameters¶
The following query parameters are optional:

pretty | boolean | Optional | Flag indicating whether the response body should be in a prettyprint format. | false |

This endpoint does not use HTTP request body parameters.
Response¶
Name | Type | Description |

availableMembers | string array | List of cluster members available for backup. Appears only for member requests. |
clusterId | string | Unique 24-hexadecimal digit string that identifies the cluster to configure for backup. |
encryptionEnabled | boolean | Flag that indicates whether encryption is enabled for the
backup configuration. You must include the syncSource
field when enabling encryption for a backup configuration.
For existing backups in a project, enabling encryption
requires an initial sync to recreate the backups’
head databases. |
excludedNamespaces | string array | List of database names and collection names to omit from
the backup. Each string is a namespace in the form of
You must send the new full list of excluded namespaces, including any that were already listed. If the new list removes any namespaces from the previous

links arrays in responses include at least one link called

Web Linking Specification. |
preferredMember | string | Cluster member manually designated as the preferred member for backup. Appears only for member requests when the preferred member is set with the UI or API. |
sslEnabled | boolean | Flag that indentifies whether TLS is enabled for the sync source database. |
statusName | string | Current (or desired) status of the backup configuration. Possible values are:

Example Request¶
- Basic Request
- Request for Members
When each snapshot starts, Ops Manager selects a replica set member to run the snapshot. This automatically selected member should have the least performance impact on the replica set. You can override the default selection.
Important
Use default selection whenever possible. This choice ensures backup availability.
The following request returns the available members.
