Hi. On the Github pro Website they mentioned that students will get “MongoDB University including free certification valued at $150” but on MongoDB Developer Learning Path it is mentioned that “you will receive 50% off an Associate Developer certification exam attempt”. Can you please tell me which offer is valid? As I am an international student, I can’t afford this certification even at half the cost.
Thank you.
Hi Soham, welcome to the forums!
Both offers are valid. All users who finish a learning path receive a voucher code good for 50% off of the certification exam. Students are eligible to receive a 100% certification discount voucher through the GitHub Student Developer Pack id they complete a learning path.
To receive the 100% dicount voucher through the GitHub Student Developer Pack, you must first sign-in at mongodb.com/students with your GitHub credentials. After that, you must complete a learning path in MongoDB University.
Hope this helps!
@Aiyana_McConnell quick question. how do I get the GitHub student dev pack discount with my non-github mongodb account? I signed up with mongodb with my email address months ago and now that I have GitHub student, I would like to access it.
Hi there and welcome to the forums!
To access MongoDB student resources, you must be registered for the GitHub Student Developer Pack. If you’re registered for the GitHub Student Developer Pack, simply enter your GitHub credentials on MongoDB Student Pack.
It’s not necessary for you to have created your MongoDB account using your GitHub account.
Hope that answers your question. Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with!
Thanks for the quick reply. Could you be specific on where on the page do I enter my credentials? I search and couldn’t find “MongoDB Student Pack” on the link you shared.
Hi,
You just go to MongoDB Student Pack and click the big, green button labeled “SignIn with GitHub”. Enter your GitHub credentials there.
