Speakers
Lance Wolters (linkedin) - Lance is a Principal Engineer at Figured, a dynamic farm financial reporting and performance insights SaaS platform. In this talk, he will share how Figured leverages the power of MongoDB aggregation pipelines to generate reports for over 30,000 farms, from a collection containing around 700 million documents. Lance will showcase the challenges his team faced and how they overcame them using MongoDB’s robust and flexible aggregation framework. If you’re interested in learning how MongoDB can help manage and process large datasets efficiently, you won’t want to miss Lance’s presentation.
Philipp Waffler (linkedin) - Philipp is a MongoDB Senior Solution Architect from Munich and based in Melbourne (but married to a kiwi!). He’ll be presenting about why working with documents in MongoDB is different from working with tabular structures in a SQL database. He will present 101 on data modelling in MongoDB and focus on the question of embedding vs. linking data in MongoDB.
Thanks,
The Auckland MUG Team!
