Best solution for taking backup and restore

Hi,

I did a lot of research on backup/restore methods where I need to take backups on multi terabytes MongoDB. So, I need to take full backup and then incremental backups. I found mongodump/mongorestore doesn’t suit for this type of size.
So, I have planned to go with copy of DB files directly for full backup and mongodump for incremental. Would like to know anyone’s opinion whether this would be a feasible solution? If not, then, which solution would work.
Also, lvm snapshots takes incremental backups also?

Disk system provided snapshot solutions is always better in case of big data size (e.g. aws ebs volume.). So, it depends on your architecture solution.

Using manual backup methods can be tedious work and may require you to deal with op logs.
