Chicago MUG: Vector Search, Stream Processing and Detection-as-Code with MongoDB Change Streams

The Chicago MongoDB User Group (MUG) is excited to present a meetup that promises to be both enlightening and engaging. Join us for a dynamic gathering featuring captivating presentations complete with live demonstrations, trivia, and of course, great food :hamburger: :pizza: :ramen: and exciting swag! :tshirt:

Agenda

06:00 PM - 06:30 PM: Registration and Welcome
Kickstart the day with registration, followed by a warm welcome and an overview of the exciting agenda.

06:30 PM - 06:45 PM: Unveiling MongoDB’s Data Modelling and Schema Design
What’s new in MongoDB? MongoDB 7.0 and more!

06:45 PM - 07:15 PM: Atlas Stream Processing & Vector Search
Learn how Atlas Stream Processing combines the document model, flexible schemas, and a rich aggregation language to provide a new level of power and convenience when building applications that require processing complex event data at scale.

Witness live demonstrations showcasing the capabilities of semantic search and AI-powered applications.

07:15 PM - 07:45 PM: Explore Detection-as-Code with MongoDB Change Streams Detection-as-Code is being steadily adopted by security teams for the ability to have version control, metrics, and testing on their detections. Explore how MongoDB change streams can be partnered with Detection-as-Code practices to run detections against system logs and event logs stored in MongoDB in near real-time with an event-driven architecture. The talk will highlight detection-as-code and MongoDB Change Streams and elaborate on how MongoDB and Detection-as-code practices can drive security detections in your environment with a proof-of-concept implementation.

07:45 PM Onwards: Swag Giveaways and Networking
Wrap up the day with exciting swag giveaways and a chance to network further with your newfound MongoDB connections.
