Hi Mete,
There should be no data transfer costs as along as the data moves on the provider’s internal network in the zone. So if your data and application are in the same zone on the same provider, you shouldn’t incur data transfer costs.

As far as I know, there are no data transfer costs within a region in Google Cloud. Suppose I select the us-east4 region in MongoDB (I don’t know which zones it will use) and set up VPC peering as well. If data flows from MongoDB to my instance in us-east4, will you charge any data transfer costs?
In AWS, we know there are costs associated because Atlas may use a different availability zone than the instance we selected.
Here, it discusses the cost between zones in the same region. But what is the source of this cost?
