Design Talk: Design and Inclusion

About this event

Zoom Recording: Design Talks w/ MongoDB: Design and Inclusion - Zoom - Password: ^ge2Nwe.

The pivotal events shaping our world in 2020 have many of us asking how we can effect positive change in the face of massive, systemic issues. At times like these, design can surface as a unifier - the common denominator tying people together through thoughtful, inclusive experiences. Purposeful inclusive design is critical, and underpins how one can address diversity individually or foster diversity thinking in our organizations. As designers, it is our responsibility to create products and services benefiting the entire spectrum of humanity, and our best work should account for diversity of ability, age, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, literacy, and other factors that impact how the world is experienced.

There’s no question that these are wide-ranging topics. In this hour together we’ll hear a couple different perspectives and explore how we can take action to improve our work, our industries, and our world by designing with inclusion at the forefront.
