Is it possible to sync a specific database ?, example I have four databases in my cluster and I would like to use edge server to sync the information on a local environment, but just I need to sync one database , not all the cluster

Hi David, thanks for reaching out! You can define the specific databases and collections you want to sync. Navigate to App Services, select your app, and, on the “Schema” tab, generate a schema for the collections you wish to sync with Atlas Edge Server. Only collections with defined schemas will be synced.

Thanks a lot

Yesterday I got an issue , I’m using now edge server on my local environment but yesterday it lost connection to internet and the edge server after of 10 hours it failed and my application didn’t connect to edge server

My question here is, how many days edge server can work without internet or there is a configuration about it ?

Hi David, as you may have heard, Atlas Edge Server (Preview) has been deprecated. You can find more information at MongoDB Feature Updates: End-of-Life and Deprecation. We propose a list of alternative solutions to replace Device Sync and Atlas Edge Server. For this use case in particular, Ditto has extensive experience in inventory management use cases and offers robust offline capabilities.
