Protecting datastring credentials in compass

I am wanting to hide my credentials when signing into the db with Compass. MongoDB offers up this:
https://www.mongodb.com/docs/compass/current/settings/protect-connection-strings/ But it tells me to ‘click on MongoDB Compass in the Compass top menu bar’ and provides a picture. There is no ‘MongoDB Compass’ to click. I don’t have a menu bar like shown. Have things changed?

What operating system are you utilising? The docs also state:

Alternatively, you can use keyboard shortcuts to open the Settings panel:

  • Windows / Linux: Ctrl + ,
  • Mac: ⌘ + ,
