We recently met up in Ahmedabad for our inaugural MUG, organized by Community Enthusiast @turivishal and Community Creator @viraj_thakrar.

Speakers Ajay and Community Creator @shreya_patel organized two introductory sessions on the MongoDB and Atlas interface, followed by an introduction of the MUG and our communities around the world.

They also held a quiz and trivia and passed out some sweet swag!

We met in Hyderabad for a MUG organized by leaders @Yashraj_Kakkad, @Jayant_Acharya, and Archy Gupta. We had engaging sessions with Shailendra Gupta, the Director of Engineering at Darwinbox, and Community Creator Ravindar Karampuri, the Advisory Database Engineer at Pitney Bowes.

We had yet another MUG in Mumbai, thanks to the passionate event leader and Community Creator, Nilesh Shinde. A big thank you to our incredible speakers, Fenil Jain, Roshan Jha, and Ijas Ahamed, who covered topics like building admin tools and GUIs on MongoDB, data modeling and schema design in MongoDB, and expanding horizons with MongoDB’s vector search.

And a big thank you to our partner, DronaHQ, who helped make the event possible.

Then, we hit up Jarkata for, you guessed it, another MUG, thanks to our leader, Fajar Abdul Karim. Our presenters Ilham Tubagus Arfian and Athid Severin Nafa covered pair programming and unit testing on NodeJS, and a real-world case scenario using MongoDB to create an investment app.

They also shared how using MongoDB Atlas Functions can help simplify building a back end.

We met up for a MUG in Auckland. Joel Foster talked about why the document model is such a good fit for registry systems, and also some of the great projects Foster Moore - The Registry People are involved in around the world.

Robin Stark from Devoli talked about upserts, too. Big thanks to Community Creator Erich Kuba for all the work he does for the MongoDB community in Auckland!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the MUG Leaders India Summit. The day included sessions, pair and share activities, and interactions with the MongoDB Product, DevRel, and Technical Services teams.

We’ve got some cool updates coming from our Community Advocacy Program.

Our annual Community Champions Summit was held in London, where Community Champions from around the world toured the city, received product updates and insights, and participated in MongoDB.local London.

During the event, Champions led a session on Indexes, shared their enthusiasm for our products and community on our live stream, and ran their own booth where they shared their expertise with attendees.

Community Champion Nuri Halperin authored an article about compound wildcard indexes in MongoDB 7.0.

Community Champion and Sāo Paulo MUG Leader Leandro Domingues spoke about Relational Migrator in the Community Lounge at The Developer’s Conference in Sāo Paulo, Brazil.

And Community Champion Kevin Smith spoke about the advantages of MongoDB’s flexible document model and how to utilize it for application storage at the Dot Net Edinburgh meetup.
